ACI Worldwide has expanded its global technology partnership ecosystem to bolster the operational resiliency of ACI Connetic, its unified, cloud-native payments platform. Building on existing strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Red Hat, and IBM, ACI is now collaborating with MongoDB and open-source technology NATS from Synadia Communications for Connetic's reference architecture. These partnerships aim to support financial institutions in meeting increasingly stringent non-functional requirements and enhance resilience against disruptions.
The expanded ecosystem extends ACI Connetic beyond a traditional payments hub, delivering robust, highly functional payment engines. This is critical as banks face pressure to future-proof their payments infrastructure amidst a shift towards real-time, API-driven, globally distributed architectures. New regulations, such as Europe’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the UK’s operational resiliency scheme, require banks to follow stringent guidelines for safeguarding against technology-related incidents.
Scotty Perkins, head of product for banking and intermediaries at ACI Worldwide, stated that ACI Connetic is designed to help banks future-proof their payments infrastructure and support modern payments' increasing non-functional requirements. He added that the cutting-edge technology supports the resilience, scalability, and security of banks’ payments systems while streamlining the transition to cloud-based infrastructures to improve operational efficiency.
