AECOM announced today its selection by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to provide design services for Segment 3C-4 of the North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP). This project is a planned multi-segment redesign of I-45N.
AECOM's scope of work includes designing four express lanes, realigning I-45's six main lanes, and widening from one to four managed lanes. The project also features drainage system improvements to enhance flood resiliency during extreme weather events.
This engagement builds on AECOM's long-standing relationship with TxDOT and its global expertise as the industry’s top transportation firm. The project is part of TxDOT's record $148 billion transportation investment program, strengthening the local economy and enhancing connectivity.
