On February 3, 2025, Hitek Systems, in collaboration with Analog Devices, Inc. and Altera, released the Agilex eSOM7 Apollo MxFE (Mixed Signal Front-End) Development Platform. This platform is the first Agilex 7 FPGA-based solution designed for seamless development with ADI's Apollo MxFE AD9084 and AD9088 development kits.
The new platform is engineered to facilitate the development of a wide range of high-performance applications, including radars, electronic warfare systems, phase array antennas, broadband and satellite communication, and electronic test and measurement systems. It features a high-speed 48-lane JESD204C interface supporting up to 27.5 Gbps per lane, providing an aggregate bandwidth of up to 1.32 Tbps.
Key features also include advanced connectivity with up to 400Gbps Ethernet and PCIe Gen 4 x 16 interfaces, along with support for PTP/1588 timing and network synchronization. Robert Dandaraw, Principal Engineer at ADI, stated that the platform helps customers unlock the full potential of Apollo MxFE in conjunction with Altera's FPGAs, driving innovation in wideband wireless communication and defense applications.
