Archer-Daniels-Midland reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025, on August 5, 2025. The company's earnings before income taxes were $279 million, a 53% decrease compared to the prior year quarter. GAAP earnings per share were $0.45, down 54%, and adjusted earnings per share were $0.93, down 10%.
Total segment operating profit for the quarter was $830 million, a 10% decline year-over-year. The Ag Services & Oilseeds segment's operating profit decreased by 17%, and Carbohydrate Solutions saw a 6% decline. The Nutrition segment, however, increased its operating profit by 5%.
ADM affirmed its full-year 2025 adjusted EPS guidance in the range of $4.00 to $4.75, but now expects to land at the lower end of this range due to ongoing market uncertainty. Management noted progress on operational improvements and cost savings, with the restored Decatur East Nutrition facility operations expected to support improved performance in the second half of the year.
