Archer-Daniels-Midland and Kellanova announced on September 17, 2025, the successful culmination of two years of collaboration in a regenerative agriculture program. The initiative spanned approximately 120,000 acres of cotton across more than 180 farms in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia during the 2023 and 2024 crop years.

The program incentivized farmers to adopt regenerative agriculture practices, such as planting cover crops and reduced tillage, aimed at protecting and improving natural resources like soil and water. These efforts also focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and sequestering carbon.

In 2024, the program reduced GHG emissions by an estimated 16,000 metric tons and modeled 42,000 metric tons of carbon sequestered in the soil. This achievement underscores the companies' shared commitment to building a more resilient future for the food system and meeting customer demand for sustainably sourced products.
