American Eagle Outfitters announced the launch of the AE Foundation on October 9, 2024, formalizing its long-standing commitment to support causes that improve the lives of teens and young adults. This initiative underscores the brand’s pledge to champion mental health and well-being, empower authenticity, and uplift its customer community.
The new foundation will allocate Signature Grants of up to $100,000 and localized Community Grants to grassroots organizations providing access to mental health and well-being resources. Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), a nonprofit co-founded by Glenn Close, will be the first recipient of a Signature Grant to fund its outreach and high school programs.
American Eagle and its sister-brand Aerie, along with their customers, have already contributed over $1.6 million to BC2M since 2021. This new foundation expands these philanthropic efforts, aiming to directly engage with millions of young adults to help them prioritize mental health.
