AITX and its residential security subsidiary RAD‑R announced that the RADCam security camera now supports Alexa voice interaction, allowing users to ask Alexa what the camera sees or has seen and receive spoken descriptions of activity in real time.

The upgrade builds on RADCam’s existing agentic AI capabilities, which already provide automated event descriptions, smart notifications, and SARA‑powered insights. By integrating with Amazon’s Alexa, RADCam can deliver spoken summaries directly to users, adding a hands‑free, real‑time awareness layer that is especially attractive to homeowners and small businesses that rely on voice‑controlled smart‑home ecosystems.

The Alexa integration is expected to drive incremental recurring revenue through RADCam’s subscription model, which charges a monthly fee for full AI functionality. Management estimates that the new voice‑interaction feature could add up to $1 million to $2 million in first‑year revenue, as the company projects a 20‑30% increase in subscription uptake among Alexa‑enabled households.

Steve Reinharz, CEO and CTO of AITX and RAD‑R, said the upgrade “brings us closer to our goal of making intelligent security feel natural and effortless.” He added that the company is committed to expanding RADCam’s AI capabilities and broadening its compatibility with leading voice assistants.

RADCam positions itself against legacy competitors such as Arlo, Ring, and Nest by offering the world’s first talking security camera powered by AIR™ technology and the award‑winning SARA™ agentic AI platform. The Alexa integration strengthens that differentiation and supports the company’s strategy to capture a larger share of the residential AI‑camera market.

Future plans include a RADCam Enterprise version that integrates with VMS systems and SARA™ Edge, as well as continued enhancements to two‑way communication and AI‑driven analytics, positioning AITX to capitalize on the growing demand for conversational security solutions.
