Ambarella, Inc. announced strong financial results for its first quarter of fiscal year 2026, ended April 30, 2025. The company reported revenue of $85.9 million, a significant 57.6% increase compared to the same period in the prior fiscal year. This revenue figure was in the upper half of the company's guidance range, driven by continued strength in its edge AI business.
Non-GAAP earnings per share for Q1 FY26 came in at $0.07, a notable improvement from a non-GAAP loss of $0.26 per share in the year-ago period. Edge AI revenue represented more than 75% of Q1 revenue, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of record AI revenue. This underscores the successful execution of Ambarella's edge AI strategy.
Based on these results, Ambarella increased its fiscal year 2026 revenue growth estimate to a range of 19% to 25%, with a midpoint of approximately $348 million, up from previous mid to high-teens expectations. The company also announced the extension of its share repurchase program for an additional twelve months, with approximately $48.0 million available for repurchase. Ambarella is also developing a new AI SoC product family to expand into the edge AI infrastructure market, which is expected to reach almost $13 billion by fiscal 2031.
