AmpliTech Group announced the launch of its new Band 50 (n50) 5G Open RAN radios, with production shipments scheduled to begin in December 2025 after a successful field‑trial and ribbon‑cutting ceremony with a major customer that has a $78 million letter of intent. The announcement followed the completion of field trials with the customer and the customer’s approval to start production.

The new n50 radios are engineered for long‑range fixed‑wireless access (FWA) coverage and are fully compliant with O‑RAN 7.2x fronthaul specifications. They operate in the 1.4–1.5 GHz band, which offers wide‑area coverage and strong building penetration, and incorporate AmpliTech’s proprietary low‑noise amplifier technology to deliver a cost‑efficient, high‑performance solution that differentiates the company in the Open RAN market.

Financially, AmpliTech expects the Band 50 launch to lift its revenue outlook for the product line from $78 million to more than $100 million. The company has raised its FY2025 revenue guidance to at least $25 million and its FY2026 guidance to at least $50 million. Q3 2025 revenue rose 115% year‑over‑year to $6.09 million, and nine‑month revenue for 2025 was up 171% year‑to‑date. Gross margin improved to 48.6% from 47.5% in the prior year, and earnings per share of –$0.01 beat the forecast of –$0.02, largely due to disciplined cost management and margin expansion.

CEO Fawad Maqbool said the Band 50 release is “one of the most ambitious Open RAN and 5G FWA projects AmpliTech has put its sight on” and added that the new radios will help deliver fast and affordable 5G home broadband to FWA projects worldwide. He noted that the company expects positive cash flow from operations and profitability in FY2026 as production ramps up.

The $78 million LOI is non‑binding and contingent on definitive purchase orders, but it signals strong demand for the new radios. AmpliTech’s focus on rural and challenging geographies where 5G FWA can replace fiber, combined with its zero long‑term debt and healthy working capital, positions the company to scale production and capture market share in the growing Open RAN ecosystem.

Investors reacted positively to the announcement, citing the revenue beat, EPS beat, raised guidance, improved margins, and narrowed net loss. The news reinforces confidence in AmpliTech’s execution and growth trajectory.
