Ansys reported fourth-quarter 2024 revenue of $882.2 million, an increase of 10% in reported currency and 11% in constant currency compared to Q4 2023, surpassing analysts' estimates. For the full fiscal year 2024, revenue grew 12% in reported currency and 13% in constant currency. The company's diluted earnings per share for Q4 2024 were $3.21 GAAP and $4.44 non-GAAP, exceeding prior year figures of $3.14 GAAP and $3.94 non-GAAP.
Full fiscal year 2024 diluted EPS reached $6.55 GAAP and $10.91 non-GAAP, compared to $5.73 GAAP and $8.80 non-GAAP in FY 2023. Annual Contract Value (ACV) also showed strong growth, with a 15% increase in Q4 2024 (16% constant currency) and an 11% increase for FY 2024 (13% constant currency). Ansys expects double-digit ACV growth for fiscal year 2025.
Regarding the pending acquisition by Synopsys, Ansys noted that conditional clearance was received from the European Commission, and the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority provisionally accepted remedies towards a transaction approval in Phase 1. The State Administration for Market Regulation of the People’s Republic of China has officially accepted the filing, with its review in process. The transaction is still anticipated to close in the first half of 2025, subject to remaining regulatory approvals.
