Aon plc announced on June 2, 2025, the appointment of Andy Marcell to serve as CEO of Global Solutions. In this new role, Marcell will lead Aon's integrated Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities across the firm's Reinsurance, Commercial Risk, Health, Wealth, and Talent teams. This appointment is a core commitment of Aon's '3x3 Plan' to accelerate client service.
Marcell, who joined Aon in 2015, previously served as CEO of Risk Capital, where he successfully brought together the firm's Commercial Risk and Reinsurance solutions. Greg Case, Aon President and CEO, stated that Marcell has made a tremendous impact integrating solutions and enhancing the alignment of capabilities. This move aims to serve clients as one 'Aon United' firm.
Marcell will remain as CEO of Reinsurance until John Neal joins Aon on September 1, 2025, and will continue to report to Greg Case. He will present at the firm's upcoming Investor Day on June 9, 2025, to discuss Aon's integrated approach to serving clients. This leadership change is expected to bring Risk Capital and Human Capital teams closer together to address client volatility and complexity.
