In conjunction with O'Connell's appointment, Platform Labs, where he previously served as CEO, has agreed to transfer ownership of its advanced intellectual property portfolio to Aon. This portfolio includes multiple cyber-related data science technologies and provisional patent applications. O'Connell will collaborate with Aon's cyber analytics leadership team to integrate these technologies, enhancing service capabilities and value for clients.
Andy Marcell, CEO of Risk Capital at Aon, highlighted that O'Connell's extensive experience in the cyber sector and risk transfer will accelerate Aon's cyber product development and capital sourcing in this rapidly growing line of business.
