Ashland Inc. announced that Karl Bostaph, Senior Vice President, Operations, will retire on October 1, 2025. Bostaph, who joined Hercules in 1990 before its acquisition by Ashland, led operations through portfolio optimization and a high-impact footprint optimization initiative.
Effective immediately, Wayne Muil, Global Director, Operations, Specialty Additives, assumes the role of Senior Vice President, Operations, reporting to Guillermo Novo. Muil brings over 25 years of experience in leading complex manufacturing and supply chain organizations across the chemical industry.
Bostaph will serve as a special advisor for operations until his retirement, working with Muil to ensure a smooth transition. This leadership change aims to drive operational excellence, safety, and innovation across Ashland’s global network of production facilities.
