Ashland Inc. announced that its board of directors has named William C. Whitaker as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective July 18, 2025. Whitaker had been serving as the company’s interim Chief Financial Officer since May 2025.
Whitaker joined Ashland in 2015 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility in corporate development, treasury, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations. His appointment provides stability to the company's financial leadership.
Guillermo Novo, Ashland's chair and chief executive officer, congratulated Whitaker on his appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership and ability to help Ashland achieve its goals. This permanent appointment follows the departure of the previous CFO in May.
