American Express unveiled major enhancements to its U.S. Consumer and Business Platinum Cards on September 18, 2025. These updated cards now offer expanded lifestyle and business benefits, providing access to over $3,500 in annual value, alongside a new limited-edition mirror card design.
The new annual fee for both the U.S. Consumer and Business Platinum Cards is $895, an increase of $200. For existing card members, the new fee will take effect at their next renewal date on or after December 2, 2025, for Business Platinum, or January 2, 2026, for Consumer Platinum.
U.S. Consumer Platinum Card Members will gain new credits on eligible purchases with Resy, lululemon, and Uber One Membership, in addition to enhancements to existing hotel and digital entertainment credits. Business Platinum Card Members will receive a new hotel credit, credits with Dell Technologies and Adobe, and earn 2X Membership Rewards points on key business purchases.
These enhancements build on existing benefits, including access to over 1,550 airport lounges, Resy benefits at sought-after restaurants, and guaranteed 4 p.m. late check-out at Fine Hotels + Resorts properties. American Express also introduced a new Amex App experience designed for Platinum card members to easily enroll in and track benefits.

Raymond Joabar, Group President, Global Commercial Services, added that the Business Platinum Card is 'built to offer more value than ever before' for business owners.
