BJ’s Wholesale Club announced plans to build its fourth ambient distribution center in Commercial Point, Ohio, expected to open in early 2027. This new facility will expand the company's supply chain capacity. The more than 500,000-square-foot facility will feature future-ready automation solutions from Swisslog, including automated pallet storage and case-handling equipment. This investment aims to support BJ's growing footprint, which has seen over 30 club openings and a 35% increase in membership over the past five years. Krystyna Kostka, SVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer, stated that the new distribution center will enhance efficiency in supporting clubs, ensuring members receive products when and where they expect them. The facility will serve as a hub for ambient-temperature grocery and general merchandise items.
