Baker Hughes announced a new order from Dynamis Power Solutions for 25 aeroderivative gas turbines, including LM2500, LM6000 and LM9000 models, totaling 1.3 GW of mobile power generation capacity for oil and gas applications. The order, booked in the third quarter of 2025, will support upstream, refining and petrochemical operations and expands Baker Hughes’ presence in the mobile power market, a high‑growth segment driven by the need for flexible, low‑carbon solutions in the energy transition.
The deal adds a significant revenue stream for Baker Hughes and reinforces its strategy to diversify beyond traditional oilfield services into high‑growth, less cyclical markets such as natural gas, LNG and data‑center power. The order is part of a decade‑long collaboration with Dynamis, which has deployed over 1,200 DT35 units and is now offering the DT70—ten LM9000 turbines that deliver 70 MW of power and the highest reported mobile power density for oil and gas applications.
Baker Hughes CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said the partnership demonstrates the company’s commitment to flexible, efficient power solutions. “As energy demand continues to expand, our sector needs new forms of collaboration to provide flexible, efficient power solutions. We are pleased to continue our work with Dynamis to support customers across a wide range of oil and gas applications,” he noted.
The order aligns with Baker Hughes’ broader focus on the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment, which recorded $8.2 billion of orders in Q3 2025, including $4.1 billion from the IET segment alone. The new mobile‑power contract strengthens the company’s position in a market that is expected to grow as operators seek low‑carbon, deployable power for remote or temporary sites.
The 1.3 GW order represents a substantial addition to Baker Hughes’ mobile‑power portfolio, reinforcing its strategy to capture high‑growth opportunities outside the traditional oilfield services business. By leveraging its expertise in aeroderivative gas turbines and its partnership with Dynamis, the company is positioned to meet the rising demand for flexible, low‑emission power solutions in the evolving energy landscape.
