Baker Hughes announced on Monday, September 29, 2025, that it has won a Petrobras award to supply up to 50 subsea tree systems and associated services for offshore oil and gas production in Brazil. The award was secured through an open tender and will cover the company’s pre‑salt standard subsea trees, subsea distribution units, in‑line tees, and vertical connection systems, as well as topside control cabinets for floating production storage and offloading vessels. The new contract will support production in established fields such as Albacora, Jubarte and Barracuda‑Caratinga, and will be deployed in newer pre‑salt developments including Mero and Buzios. Baker Hughes will begin procurement and manufacturing in the third quarter of 2025, positioning the company to capture revenue from multiple Brazilian offshore projects and reinforcing its localization strategy in the region. This award strengthens Baker Hughes’ Oilfield Services & Equipment segment by adding a sizable, multi‑field contract that enhances its service portfolio in Brazil’s growing offshore market. The deal is expected to contribute to the company’s revenue and margin growth in the coming quarters, underscoring the strategic importance of Petrobras as a key customer in the Latin American energy sector.
