Baker Hughes announced on June 9, 2025, an agreement to sell its Precision Sensors & Instrumentation (PSI) product line to aerospace and defense parts manufacturer Crane for $1.15 billion. This divestiture is part of Baker Hughes' strategy to optimize its business portfolio. The PSI product line, which is part of Baker Hughes' Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment, includes the Druck, Panametrics, and Reuter-Stokes brands. These brands specialize in pressure, flow, gas, humidity, radiation sensing, and analysis technologies. The transaction includes all of PSI's assets, intellectual property, manufacturing facilities, and approximately 1,600 employees worldwide. The deal is expected to close in late 2025 or early 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, and is intended to enhance profitability and reallocate capital to higher-return opportunities.
