Angel Oak, an alternative asset manager with over $18 billion in assets under management, specializes in mortgage and consumer products. The acquisition integrates Angel Oak's origination and investment capabilities into Brookfield's $317 billion credit business.
Angel Oak will continue to operate independently, retaining its current leadership, including co-founders Sreeni Prabhu and Mike Fierman as co-Chief Executives. This strategic acquisition strengthens Brookfield's credit platform and enhances its overall alternative asset management offerings.
