Black Stone Minerals announced a new development agreement with Revenant Energy, covering approximately 270,000 gross acres in the expanded Shelby Trough Haynesville and Bossier acreage. This area spans Angelina, Nacogdoches, and San Augustine counties in Texas, with BSM controlling about 95,000 net undeveloped acres. The agreement with Revenant Energy includes escalating annual well commitments, starting with a minimum of 6 wells per year in 2026 and increasing to 25 wells per year by year five. This partnership is expected to significantly boost the net well development of Black Stone's portfolio in the Shelby Trough. Concurrently, Black Stone Minerals amended its existing joint exploration agreements with Aethon Energy in Angelina and San Augustine counties. As part of this amendment, Aethon will release over 50,000 gross acres back to BSM, in exchange for reducing its annual well commitment to a total of 16 wells across both JEAs. This freed-up acreage provides a foundation for another potential new development agreement, further enhancing BSM's long-term growth outlook.
