The Baldwin Group announced on June 12, 2025, that its indirect subsidiary, Westwood Insurance Agency, LLC, entered into an agreement to acquire Hippo Holdings, Inc.'s homebuilder distribution network. This acquisition includes all outstanding equity interests of the various entities comprising Hippo’s network.
This strategic acquisition is expected to further solidify Westwood’s position as the preeminent insurance agency for the homebuilding industry. The expanded network will enhance Westwood's ability to serve builder clients and accelerate growth in the new homes business.
In addition to the acquisition, Baldwin’s Westwood and MSI businesses entered into various commercial agreements with Hippo and its affiliates. These agreements are designed to support ongoing growth and expand the partnership between the companies, including providing additional capacity for Baldwin's MGA programs.
