Calpine Corporation announced a new 190-megawatt (MW) agreement with CyrusOne, a global data center developer and operator, to supply power to a new facility in Bosque County, Texas. This deal secures power, grid connection, and land for a data center adjacent to Calpine's Thad Hill Energy Center.
The new multi-phase data center campus, named DFW10, is currently under construction and is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2026. This project represents a $1.2 billion infrastructure investment by CyrusOne, backed by Global Infrastructure Partners and KKR.
This significant customer win for Calpine enhances the value of its pending acquisition by Constellation Energy. It demonstrates the strong demand for reliable power solutions for hyperscale customers and reinforces the strategic rationale behind Constellation's expansion into diversified generation assets.
