Clearwater Paper's March 2025 Investor Presentation reaffirmed its strategic focus on becoming a premier, independent supplier of paperboard packaging products. The company highlighted its increased SBS capacity to approximately 1.4 million tons and a balanced national network designed for least-landed costs.
The presentation outlined a target of $40 million to $50 million in synergies by the end of 2026 and a net leverage ratio target of 1 to 2 times across the cycle. The company also noted the repurchase of approximately $9 million of shares through February 7, 2025, under its new program.
Clearwater Paper is actively developing new products, including NuVo and ReMagine brands with up to 35% post-consumer recycled content, compostable plates expected by year-end 2025, and lightweight folding carton products anticipated by 2026. The company is also exploring poly-free coatings and potential entry into Coated Unbleached Kraft (CUK) and Coated Recycled Board (CRB) markets.
