Coherent Corp. announced the launch of its new CUT12 2D laser cutting head, designed to offer an exceptional mix of performance, versatility, and value to the global flat sheet cutting market. The CUT12 is compatible with fiber lasers in the 4 kW to 12 kW power range.
The cutting head operates at a maximum numerical aperture of 0.15 and a magnification of 2.0, delivering focused-spot characteristics necessary for high-speed, high-quality cutting. It also features an adjustable focal plane to accommodate varying process demands.
Martin Seifert, Vice President of the High-Power Fiber Laser Business Unit, noted that the CUT12 simplifies machine integration and reduces spare parts handling by operating across a wide power range. Its connectivity options, including EtherCAT, facilitate use in diverse industrial settings.
