Costco Wholesale Corporation continued its aggressive expansion strategy by opening four new clubs in early August across three different countries. These new locations include Quebec, Canada; North Guadalajara, Mexico; The Villages in Florida, U.S.; and Richland, Washington, U.S.

These openings are part of Costco's plan to add approximately 30 new clubs per year globally, with over half of these planned for the U.S. market. The strategic placement of new warehouses, including in existing crowded markets, aims to alleviate pressure on high-volume stores and capture new member growth.

Physical expansion remains a fundamental driver of Costco's overall sales growth and membership acquisition. Each new location contributes to increasing the company's market share and extending its value proposition to a broader customer base, reinforcing its long-term growth trajectory.
