Freightos Limited announced a new partnership with Jambojet Cargo, Kenya’s leading regional airline, that adds instant digital booking and payment access to Jambojet’s nine key East African routes on its WebCargo platform. The integration gives freight forwarders immediate access to a network that serves major economic centers in Kenya and Tanzania, including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Malindi, Diani, Lamu and Zanzibar, and lays the groundwork for future interlining agreements that could further connect African markets to the global freight network.

The partnership enhances Freightos’ value proposition by allowing shippers and forwarders to compare live rates, book shipments instantly, and manage air cargo digitally across a broader geographic footprint. By adding Jambojet Cargo to its carrier base, Freightos strengthens its position as the “Booking.com of international freight,” broadening its reach in a high‑growth region and reinforcing its strategy of expanding digital freight solutions in emerging markets.

Freightos’ Q3 2025 earnings provide context for the partnership’s strategic timing. The company reported revenue of $7.7 million, up 24% year‑over‑year, and a loss per share of –$0.10, missing the consensus estimate of –$0.08. The revenue beat was driven by a 30% year‑over‑year increase in solutions revenue and a 15% rise in platform revenue, reflecting strong demand for digital freight booking amid rate volatility. The EPS miss was largely attributable to foreign‑exchange headwinds and a slower‑than‑expected growth in solutions revenue, which faced headwinds from market uncertainty. Freightos’ gross margin improved to 69.1% from 65.0% in the prior quarter, driven by operational efficiencies and scale, while adjusted EBITDA remained negative at –$2.6 million, an improvement from –$2.8 million in Q3 2024.

Investors reacted negatively to the earnings release, citing the EPS miss as a key concern despite the revenue beat. The market’s focus on profitability metrics underscored the importance of maintaining a balanced mix of platform and solutions revenue, and highlighted the need for continued cost discipline as Freightos pursues profitability while expanding its carrier network.

The Jambojet partnership aligns with Freightos’ broader growth strategy of scaling its digital freight marketplace and deepening its presence in high‑growth regions. By adding a high‑frequency regional carrier, Freightos can offer shippers more competitive rates and faster transit times, reinforcing its competitive advantage in the African market. The partnership also positions Freightos to capture additional transaction volume, supporting its goal of achieving adjusted EBITDA breakeven by Q4 2026 and further strengthening its market position as a leading digital freight platform.
