Delta Air Lines and Siemens Smart Infrastructure announced a global partnership that will deliver prefabricated, modular power systems designed to accelerate data‑center deployment and cut capital expenditures. The collaboration combines Delta’s power‑management expertise—encompassing UPS, battery storage, and cooling technologies—with Siemens’ experience in electrical power distribution, engineering, and smart infrastructure.

The joint offering promises to reduce installation time by up to 50%, lower CAPEX by up to 20%, and cut carbon emissions by up to 27%. By using prefabricated components, data‑center operators can bring new sites online faster and with a smaller environmental footprint, addressing the growing demand for efficient, scalable power in hyperscale and colocation environments.

For Delta, the partnership marks a significant diversification beyond its core airline operations, refinery, and maintenance‑repair‑overhaul (MRO) businesses. The new revenue stream aligns with Delta’s broader strategy of expanding into emerging technology markets and sustaining strong earnings and free cash flow through 2026.

The data‑center power market is expanding rapidly, driven by AI workloads and cloud computing. Delta’s entry into this space positions it to capture a share of the projected multi‑trillion‑dollar market, while its green‑solution focus dovetails with industry sustainability trends.

"The rapidly growing AI landscape necessitates dynamic partnerships, which form the core of Delta’s long‑term strategy," said Victor Cheng, CEO of Delta Electronics (Thailand). Stephan May, CEO of Electrification & Automation at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, added, "This partnership marks a crucial milestone in data‑center construction within the fastest‑growing markets globally."
