DocGo Inc. announced the appointment of Dr. Stephen K. Klasko, M.D., M.B.A, as the new independent, non-executive Chair of its Board of Directors, effective October 1, 2024. Dr. Klasko brings extensive leadership experience from healthcare, higher education, and medical industry innovation, including an eight-year tenure as President of Thomas Jefferson University and CEO of Jefferson Health.
During his time at Jefferson Health, Dr. Klasko oversaw its expansion to 18 hospitals and over 35,000 employees. He also previously served as CEO of USF Health and Dean of the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, and Dean of Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Klasko's appointment fills the board vacancy created by the resignation of outgoing Chair Steven Katz, who will remain as a consultant through the end of the year. His background, including a prior joint venture between Jefferson Health and DocGo's Ambulnz division, aligns with DocGo's vision for mobile health and value-based care strategies.
