Entero Therapeutics, Inc. announced on October 1, 2025, that it has acquired 100% of GRID AI Corp, an AI-driven software and device platform specializing in managing load and distributed energy resources.
This transaction is described as transformative, positioning Entero Therapeutics in the high-growth AI energy-infrastructure market. Over $50 million has been invested in GRID AI since 2019 to commercialize its autonomous platform for Dynamic Load Shaping™ and Aggregation Management.
Under the terms of the agreement, former GRID AI shareholders will own approximately 82.5% of the fully diluted ENTO common stock, while existing Entero shareholders will retain approximately 17.5%. Jason Sawyer has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer of Entero Therapeutics, and former GRID AI shareholders will designate two directors to the board at closing, eventually totaling five of seven directors.
