Ericsson announced a five‑year Master Frame Agreement with Saudi Arabia’s stc Group, the country’s leading digital enabler, on December 16, 2025. The contract obligates stc to procure Ericsson’s 5G hardware and software, cloud‑native platforms, advanced managed services, and network support, covering 5G Standalone, 5G Advanced, Massive MIMO, and Ericsson Radio System products.

The deal positions Ericsson to accelerate 5G expansion and the rollout of next‑generation technologies across Saudi Arabia, a key component of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 digital economy. By securing a long‑term partnership, Ericsson gains a stable revenue stream and a strategic foothold in a high‑growth region, while stc benefits from Ericsson’s programmable network expertise and managed‑services capabilities.

Although the financial value of the agreement has not been disclosed, the five‑year commitment is a material event for Ericsson. It represents a multi‑year revenue source that will reinforce the company’s presence in a geopolitically important market and counter competitive pressure from Huawei and Nokia in the Middle East.

Management emphasized the strategic alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. stc’s Vice President of Supply Chain, Abdullah M. Alowini, said the partnership “reinforces stc’s commitment to driving digital transformation and innovation in Saudi Arabia, enabling cutting‑edge connectivity that empowers customers and supports the Kingdom’s ambition to build a globally competitive digital economy.” Ericsson’s Vice President for Saudi Arabia, Håkan Cervell, added that the company “shares stc’s commitment to Vision 2030 and will continue to work closely to deliver digital infrastructure that drives innovation and economic competitiveness.”

The agreement builds on a history of collaboration, including the deployment of one of Saudi Arabia’s first 5G networks in 2019. It expands Ericsson’s portfolio in the region and positions stc for future advancements such as 5G Advanced and 6G readiness, reinforcing Ericsson’s broader strategy of deepening relationships with telecom operators in the Middle East.
