Brazil’s state development bank (BNDES) approved 1.7 billion reais ($312.3 million) in financing for the export of 13 Embraer aircraft to U.S. carrier SkyWest, the bank said in a statement on Friday, 17 October 2025.
The financing will enable SkyWest to acquire 13 Embraer jets, supporting the carrier’s fleet expansion and providing Embraer with a sizable export order that will boost its revenue and backlog. The loan also gives Embraer additional liquidity to support production and delivery schedules.
The approval reflects continued confidence from the Brazilian government in Embraer’s commercial aviation business and strengthens the company’s position in the U.S. market, where it faces tariff headwinds.
