Evercore announced that Luigi de Vecchi will join the firm in September 2025 as Senior Managing Director and chairman of its continental European advisory business. He will be based in Milan, Italy, where Evercore is in the process of opening an office.
Mr. de Vecchi brings over 35 years of investment banking experience, having advised on some of Europe and Italy's largest transactions. He previously served as chairman of continental Europe for corporate and investment banking at Citigroup.
His role is to spearhead the buildout of Evercore’s presence in Italy and broader Europe, working closely with the existing team in Paris. This strategic hire and office expansion underscore Evercore's commitment to strengthening its European footprint and serving large European and global strategic clients.
