FedEx has launched two new flights in Central and South America, significantly expanding its air network and establishing a direct commercial presence in Honduras and Ecuador. These new routes are part of an ongoing air network redesign aimed at increasing connectivity for customers across the region. One new flight will link the international airports of Ezeiza in Buenos Aires, Santiago in Chile, and Mariscal Sucre in Quito, Ecuador. The other flight will provide direct connectivity from La Aurora airport in Guatemala and Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Both flights will originate and end in Miami and operate several times per week, benefiting key sectors such as flowers, coffee, cacao, seeds, high-tech, and the textile and automotive industries. This expansion strengthens FedEx's ability to support regional trade and meet growing demand in these markets.
