Gap Inc. announced a 10-year partnership with FIDO Tech to improve water resilience in supply chain communities in Bengaluru, India. This collaboration marks Gap Inc. as the first apparel company to join a worldwide multi-stakeholder effort to reduce water wastage using AI.
Under the agreement, Gap Inc. will fund the deployment of FIDO AI to rapidly reduce leakage across 350km of water pipeline networks in Bengaluru. FIDO AI accurately analyzes acoustic sensor data to detect hidden leaks in underground water pipelines, which is crucial for water-scarce regions.
This project is part of Gap Inc.'s broader commitment to bridging the climate gap and ensuring its supply chain operations are built on healthy communities.
