CGI announced a new contract with His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for enterprise integration services that will run for up to five years. The agreement, awarded under the Crown Commercial Service’s DALAS framework (Lot 3), is worth up to £250 million and includes an initial three‑year term with two optional one‑year extensions.
The deal adds a predictable, long‑term revenue stream that represents roughly 1.25 % of CGI’s FY2025 revenue of $15.91 billion and boosts the company’s backlog to $31.5 billion. It also reinforces CGI’s Build‑and‑Buy growth strategy by expanding its managed‑services portfolio and deepening its presence in the UK government market, where the firm has already secured multiple DALAS lots and served as a strategic delivery partner for the Cabinet Office.
CGI’s backlog of $31.5 billion, reported in the Q4 2025 earnings release, is now supported by this new contract, which will generate an average of £50 million (about $60 million) per year. The contract’s value is comparable to the size of other major public‑sector deals CGI has secured in recent years and underscores the firm’s ability to win high‑value, long‑term government work.
HMRC’s modernization roadmap calls for the replacement of legacy systems that underpin critical national infrastructure. CGI will provide interfaces, APIs, and messaging services that enable real‑time data exchange across HMRC’s tax, customs, and border‑control systems. The firm’s AI‑enabled integration solutions will automate data validation, reduce manual processing, and accelerate service delivery for citizens and government teams.
Kevin O’Neill, CGI’s Senior Vice‑President for Government and Justice in the UK, said the contract “deepens our collaboration and enables us to help HMRC accelerate the modernization of its IT estate and deliver improved services for citizens and teams.” CEO François Boulanger added that the win “demonstrates CGI’s leadership in AI‑embedded managed services and reinforces our commitment to delivering digital transformation for public‑sector clients.”
