Genius Group Limited finalized a $7.1 million purchase of a 51% stake in two Nuanu Creative City projects—Genius School and Genius City—on November 5 2025. The transaction values the combined projects at $14 million and establishes a joint venture that will bring the company’s AI‑powered education platform and Bitcoin‑first ecosystem to a 44‑hectare development in Bali.

The acquisition marks the first time Genius Group has extended its flagship Genius City model outside of Southeast Asia. By embedding its learning‑community framework in Bali, the company aims to tap a high‑traffic tourist and expatriate market, leveraging the city’s 4,000 daily visitors to accelerate adoption of its AI‑driven curriculum and community‑finance tools.

Management projects that the Bali projects will generate more than $20 million in annual revenue and $6 million in net profit within four years. These figures are ambitious when compared to Genius Group’s 2024 audited revenue of $7.9 million and its 2025 guidance of $10–13 million, which was later raised to $15–18 million after the Entrepreneur Resorts acquisition. The new projections therefore represent a substantial acceleration of growth expectations, reflecting confidence that the Bali platform will scale quickly once the infrastructure is in place.

The deal comes amid a backdrop of legal and financial headwinds. Genius Group is currently litigating a RICO lawsuit and an arbitration with Fatbrain AI, and its Bitcoin treasury has been reduced from 200 to 138 coins as of November 9 to free up cash for acquisitions. The company’s financial health rating is “WEAK,” and its stock had fallen nearly 7 % in the week before the announcement, underscoring the risk profile that the acquisition seeks to mitigate.

CEO Roger James Hamilton said the partnership “provides a unique opportunity to reimagine the future of education within a fully operating city of the future.” He added that the collaboration will allow Genius Group to “embed AI and community‑finance tools in a high‑tech, high‑touch environment that nurtures learning and innovation.”

Strategically, the Bali acquisition positions Genius Group to test its scalable Genius City model in a new geographic market while diversifying its revenue base. If the projected revenue and profit targets materialize, the company could accelerate its global rollout of Genius Cities and strengthen its competitive position against other edtech and community‑finance platforms.
