This strategic decision aims to enhance operational efficiency across Grab's mobility, deliveries, and financial services verticals, including its new digibanks, while reducing IT infrastructure costs.
The company leverages AWS for critical compute, storage, networking, and database functions, supporting its 41.9 million monthly transacting users and over 13 million driver and delivery partners. Grab has migrated over 400 backend application services to AWS Graviton2 processors to achieve high performance and improve cost and energy efficiency.
Grab utilizes AWS analytics services like Clean Rooms for secure data collaboration and AWS Inferentia chips to power AI-driven services such as map enhancements and fraud detection in its digital banks. This partnership enables Grab to accelerate innovation, rapidly launch new services, and scale efficiently across its eight-country footprint.
