U.S. Global Investors, Inc. announced that its shipping ETF, the U.S. Global Sea to Sky Cargo ETF (SEA), is now listed on Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV), also known as the Mexican Stock Exchange. This listing makes SEA the third U.S. Global ETF available to investors in Mexico, joining the U.S. Global Jets ETF (JETS) and U.S. Global GO GOLD and Precious Metal Miners ETF (GOAU). The BMV is Latin America’s second-largest stock exchange, with a total market capitalization exceeding $530 billion.

The SEA ETF, launched in January 2022, aims to provide diversified access to the global shipping and air freight industries. Its index, the U.S. Global Sea to Sky Cargo Index (SEAX), utilizes a Smart Beta 2.0 strategy to identify efficient marine shipping, air freight, and port and harbor companies worldwide. This strategic expansion into Mexico positions U.S. Global Investors to capitalize on the Mexican government's multi-billion dollar investments in seaport modernization, aimed at increasing trade with East Asia.

Frank Holmes, CEO and Chief Investment Officer, highlighted that SEA is the first pure-play maritime shipping and air freight ETF on the BMV. He emphasized that over 80% of all globally traded goods are carried by sea, making the companies within SEA's index a fundamental part of global commerce. This listing is expected to attract investors seeking targeted exposure to supply chain infrastructure in a growing international market.
