Himax Technologies, Inc. announced the commencement of construction for its new 'Himax Preschool' at the company's Tainan Fab 2 campus. The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Chairman Dr. Biing-Seng Wu and CEO Mr. Jordan Wu.
The preschool is designed to accommodate up to 200 children of employees, primarily aged 2 to 6, and will offer flexible, extended childcare hours. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, with trial operations beginning in July 2026 and an official opening in August 2026.
This initiative aims to support employees in balancing family and work responsibilities, fostering a family-friendly workplace. It is expected to strengthen employee commitment and aid in attracting and retaining top talent.
