Himax Technologies, Inc. announced it will showcase its WiseEye™ ultralow power AI sensing technology for smart door locks and high-security palm vein authentication at the 2024 Taipei Building Show. The event runs from December 12 to 15, 2024.
In collaboration with Duen Yih Metal Industrial Co., Ltd. (DANDY), Himax will unveil the JANUS PV smart door lock, which integrates Himax’s WiseEye PalmVein authentication solution. This solution enables contactless biometric authentication for quick unlocking and enhanced security.
Himax's WiseEye PalmVein authentication technology has been adopted by a U.S. customer for smart access control systems, with mass production expected by the end of 2024. This expands WiseEye PalmVein applications into home security, login authentication, and access control.
