Horace Mann Educators Corporation reported record first-quarter 2025 core earnings of $1.07 per diluted share, a 73.3% increase over the prior year. Total revenues for the quarter grew 7.9% to $416.4 million, reflecting solid business profitability and growth momentum.

The Property & Casualty segment delivered strong performance with a combined ratio of 89.4%, a 10.5-point improvement year-over-year. This was attributed to profitability restoration efforts, lower property frequency, and $5.3 million in favorable prior year development in both auto and property.

The company raised its full-year 2025 core EPS guidance to a range of $3.85 to $4.15 per share, reflecting a revised core earnings definition and continued strong performance. Individual supplemental sales surged 61%, auto sales increased 8%, and annuity net contract deposits were up 6%.
