Hexcel Corporation showcased its latest innovations in lightweight, high-performance materials for aerospace applications at Aero India 2025. The company highlighted its HexTow HM63 carbon fiber and introduced the new HexTow IM9 24K, designed to maximize efficiency in primary and secondary aerospace structures.

The company also featured its out-of-autoclave (OOA) technologies, including HexPly M51, a rapid-curing prepreg for high-rate structural composite parts using hot-in/hot-out press curing. Another OOA solution, HexPly M56 prepreg, provides quality and performance from a simple oven cure under vacuum, avoiding capital investment in autoclave equipment.

Hexcel's HiTape, a high-performance carbon reinforcement, was also presented for OOA processing of aerospace primary structures. These materials are tailored for high-rate automated production and are compatible with automated tape laying (ATL), automated fiber placement (AFP), and pick-and-place processes, aiming to reduce costs and increase output.
