IFS released Cloud 25R2, adding agentic Digital Workers that can think, decide, and act across enterprise systems, positioning the platform as a true co‑worker for field technicians, maintenance planners, and operations teams.

The update expands AI integration across IFS’s ERP, EAM, and FSM solutions, enabling automated, context‑aware workflows that reduce repetitive tasks and improve operational uptime. The new Digital Workers include 12 pre‑built agents for maintenance scheduling, asset health monitoring, and field service coordination, with a roadmap to 30 agents by Q1 2026.

The launch comes amid a growing industrial AI market driven by labor shortages and aging workforces. IFS’s focus on applied AI, embedded directly into core business processes, differentiates it from generic consumer‑grade AI tools and positions the company to capture a larger share of the industrial AI spend.

Early adopters such as Kodiak Gas Services have reported significant returns. The company’s CIO, Pedro Buhigas, said that engaging the Loops agent once per day could generate $3 million in annual ROI and free 90,000 hours for field technicians, illustrating the tangible productivity gains that the new platform can deliver.

CEO Mark Moffat emphasized that the release signals a shift from AI theory to practical, scalable solutions. “Manufacturing is undergoing a defining transformation,” he said, noting that 94 % of manufacturers report new service models are already impacting operations. Moffat added that industrial AI and sustainability are now central to delivering smarter, faster, and more personalized service.

Chief Innovation Officer Christian Pedersen highlighted the importance of embedding AI into complex industrial workflows. “Generic, consumer‑grade AI tools simply can’t cut it in these environments,” he said. “Our solutions are designed to work autonomously, intelligently, and profitably, which is why customers trust us to transform their operations.”

The release also signals IFS’s continued investment in industrial AI, following recent acquisitions such as 7Bridges for supply‑chain optimization. The company’s roadmap includes further development of agentic skills and tools that allow customers to create their own digital workers, reinforcing its competitive moat in technology‑driven industrial services.
