Imperial Oil announced on January 10, 2025, that Sherri Evers, its Senior Vice President of Sustainability, Commercial Development and Product Solutions, will be leaving the company. Ms. Evers will assume a new role as North America Lubes General Manager for Exxon Mobil Corporation, effective March 1, 2025. Exxon Mobil is Imperial Oil's majority shareholder.
During her tenure at Imperial, Ms. Evers played a critical role in leading a diverse portfolio of strategic projects. These included the Strathcona renewable diesel project in the Downstream segment and the development of Imperial's new Low Carbon Solutions business. Her leadership was also instrumental in plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and in the formation of the Pathways Alliance.
The departure of a senior executive with such a significant role in sustainability and low-carbon initiatives represents a change in the company's leadership team. Imperial Oil stated that an announcement regarding her replacement will be made at a future date.
