Keurig Dr Pepper announced a definitive agreement to acquire Dutch coffee and tea company JDE Peet's in an all-cash transaction valued at €15.7 billion, or approximately $18.4 billion. This acquisition is expected to create a global coffee champion by combining KDP's Keurig platform with JDE Peet's worldwide portfolio.

Following the acquisition, KDP plans to separate into two independent, U.S.-listed public companies: a 'Beverage Co.' focused on North American refreshment beverages with over $11 billion in annual net sales, and a 'Global Coffee Co.' with approximately $16 billion in combined annual net sales, becoming the world's largest pure-play coffee company.

The transaction is expected to generate approximately $400 million in cost synergies over three years and be EPS accretive starting in year one. The separation is anticipated to occur as soon as practicable after the acquisition closes, which is expected in the first half of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
