Kraft Heinz has disclosed its participation as a founding member of the Dairy Methane Action Alliance (DMAA), a global coalition led by the Environmental Defense Fund. The alliance aims to catalyze accountability, transparency, and ambitious climate action within the food industry. The company reported its 2023 methane emissions, with total emissions from its dairy supply chain at 99,210 metric tons of CH4 per year. This represents 10.34% of its total emissions, with dairy methane as a percentage of total emissions at 10.69%. Kraft Heinz's emissions reduction goals include achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its operational footprint and entire global value chain by 2050. The company is focusing on improving feed strategies and manure management to reduce methane from livestock.
