Kennametal Inc. announced an expansion of its turning portfolio with the introduction of new inserts and cutting tools, significantly broadening its machining capabilities. The new offerings include TopSwiss™ Turning Inserts and Micro Boring Solid (MBS) tooling, alongside KCU25B Turning Inserts.
The TopSwiss™ Turning Inserts are specifically designed for Swiss-type small parts machining and medical applications, as well as aerospace and defense, general engineering, and transportation sectors. This portfolio features four new carbide grades, one new cermet grade, and seven new geometries, with polished finishing geometries for improved surface finishes.
New Micro Boring Solid (MBS) tooling enables machining of smaller applications, including internal turning in bores as small as Ø0.3mm, offering sharp cutting edges and superior chip evacuation. Additionally, KCU25B Turning Inserts provide a metal cutting solution for roughing and medium machining in various materials, featuring Kennametal's KENGold PVD coating for enhanced resistance.
