Know Labs, Inc. announced the formal launch of its new business unit, Know Labs Technology Licensing (KTL), dedicated to monetizing its extensive intellectual property (IP) portfolio. KTL aims to license the company's patented Radio Frequency Dielectric Spectroscopy (RFDS) platform technology to corporate partners, academic institutions, and research organizations.
This initiative is designed to foster innovation and accelerate the adoption of RFDS technology across various industries, including industrial processes, consumer electronics, automotive advancements, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks. The company's CEO, Ron Erickson, stated that the breadth of opportunities necessitated an open model of collaboration.
KTL will offer IP licensing, potentially alongside white-label mobile apps, software development kits (SDKs), and prototyping capabilities. This strategic move is intended to provide a more rapid path to revenue generation compared to the lengthy FDA clearance process for medical devices, while also driving widespread adoption of RFDS technology.
