Centrus Energy Corp. reported a net loss of $5.0 million, or $0.30 per common share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2024. Total revenue for the quarter increased by $6.4 million to $57.7 million, compared to $51.3 million in the prior year period.

The LEU segment revenue decreased by $5.7 million to $34.8 million, primarily due to lower SWU sales volume, partially offset by an increase in the average price of SWU sold. Conversely, the Technical Solutions segment revenue grew by $12.1 million to $22.9 million, driven by the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of the HALEU Operation Contract.

Centrus's backlog stood at $3.8 billion as of September 30, 2024, extending to 2040, including $2.0 billion in contingent LEU sales commitments. The company also achieved cumulative deliveries of approximately 332 kilograms of HALEU UF6 to the Department of Energy. Furthermore, the DOE issued a waiver on July 18, 2024, allowing Centrus to import LEU from Russia for committed deliveries in 2024 and 2025, with decisions for 2026 and 2027 deferred.
